Communications, Signal Processing, and Networking

Image of fiber optic cable

As an area that has had arguably the most direct impact on our lives, research in communications is critical to improving and expanding capabilities of current technology and developing new ones in the discipline. To that end, faculty in ECE are engaged in research in signal processing and its applications, information theory, integrated circuits for communication, sensor networks, distributed systems, and network optimization.

Our faculty collaborate with not only researchers and faculty in institutions within the U.S. and abroad, but also with industry professionals, and attract exceptional students from around the world to our degree programs.
