Enroll In /Request a UNITE Section
Who May Enroll through UNITE
UNITE enrollment is limited to students who are located in the United States during the semester for which they are registering. Short-term travel during the semester will require instructor and UNITE approval in the event of exams.
UNITE-enrolled students take exams with a UNITE-approved proctor same-day/same-time as the students in the on-campus section of the course that UNITE "piggybacks" when the instructor holds exams during the scheduled class meeting time on-campus.
To know more about how UNITE works and student responsibilities see UNITE Steps for Success .
How to Enroll in a UNITE Section of a Course/Request a UNITE Section be Offered
Beginning Fall 2025, UNITE is no longer scheduling UNITE sections nor enrolling students into UNITE sections - the academic departments handle both tasks.
Note that Academic departments begin planning and scheduling for semesters begins several months prior to that semester, including those with UNITE sections.
See the Spring 2026 courses with UNITE sections.

For other CSE departments, students need to contact the academic department directly to see if the department wants to offer a UNITE section of an existing on-campus course first. If the department determines that they do, then the academic department will work with 1) the Office of Classroom Management (OCM) to schedule it and 2) with UNITE to support it during the semester it is offered.
