Enroll In /Request a UNITE Section

Who May Enroll through UNITE

UNITE enrollment is limited to students who are located in the United States during the semester for which they are registering. Short-term travel during the semester will require instructor and UNITE approval in the event of exams.

UNITE students take exams with an in-person UNITE-verified proctor at the same-day/same-time as the students in the on-campus section of the course. See UNITE Exams and Quizzes for more information.

To know more about how UNITE works and student responsibilities see UNITE Steps for Success .

How to Enroll in a UNITE Section of a Course/Request a UNITE Section be Offered

Academic departments schedule the UNITE section overlay and handles all UNITE registrations. UNITE does not enroll students into courses.

Most departments issue permission numbers using the forms below. Once a permission number is issued, the student then self-enrolls into the UNITE section though OneStop. Biomedical Engineering (BMEN) does not issue permission numbers and allows students to self-enroll through OneStop as the registration period opens - note that there may be caps on BMEN UNITE sections.

Note that Academic departments begin planning and scheduling for semesters several months prior to that semester, including those with UNITE sections.

See the Summer 2026 courses with UNITE sections.
See the Fall 2026 courses with UNITE sections (tentative 3/4/2026).

To enroll into and/or request a UNITE section of a course, use the department's online form  courses using the online forms below:

For other CSE departments, students need to contact the academic department directly to see if the department wants to offer a UNITE section overlay of an existing on-campus course first. If the department determines that they do, then the academic department will work with 1) the Office of Classroom Management (OCM) to schedule it and 2) with UNITE to support it during the semester it is offered.
