How to Apply

  1. Start by applying for admission to the University of Minnesota and the College of Science and Engineering (CSE).
  2. Upon acceptance, you will complete fundamental CSE coursework and several required lower-level AEM courses during your first three semesters.
  3. You can apply for the Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics (BAEM) Program in the fall of your second year.
  4. To find out when students are notified of AEM program acceptance please contact the College of Science and Engineering.

Transfer and international students

Admission requirements and planning resources are available through the CSE.

Admission Requirements

The BAEM program admits approximately 300 students per year. Your GPA must be a 2.0 or better, and you must have completed AEM 2012 (Dynamics) and Math 2263 coursework (and preferably also Math 2243).
