Building Access and Use
Building Access and Use
Access
- The Department of Mechanical Engineering is committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning and working environment for its students, staff, faculty, and other authorized UMN guests. Access to non-public areas within the department—such as offices, laboratories, storage rooms, and other designated private spaces—is restricted to authorized individuals.
- To have an office or desk assigned or to gain access to a lab, the supervisor/PI/adviser must fill out a request on behalf of the one seeking access. An active UMN email account is required prior to access being granted.
- Anyone who has access to a lab must complete the required safety training. Your PI/supervisor/advisor is responsible for verifying you have completed all requisite safety training prior to gaining access.
- If you have any additional questions regarding access, please email [email protected].
