The School Welcomes Zhen Liu to the faculty

Assistant Professor Zhen Liu joined the school on December 28, 2020. He is originally from Zhenghou, an ancient city in central China. “I grew up near the old dirt city wall built 2200 years ago,” Liu says.

Professor Liu’s research is in high energy theory attempting to understand the fundamental construction of nature. His current research is centered around using large and small scale high energy physics probes to solve puzzles such as dark matter, matter-antimatter asymmetry and the origin of fundamental scales.

Professor Liu will be working remotely and plans to move to the Twin Cities over the summer.
