Ecoflume

About

The Ecoflume is a unique facility for examining interactions between moving fluid and physiology of living organisms. The flume has a "race track" design, and water movement is driven by a variable speed rotating paddle wheel. Temperature is carefully regulated through heat exchange fins within the channel. The majority of the flume walls are transparent to allow natural sunlight and facilitate the growth of photosynthetic organisms.
