Experimental debris flow flume

Also known as the "Fish Tank Flume," this facility is used to study underwater gravity currents, such as turbidity currents and debris flow. Sediments can be released into the tank from the headbox or from a large tank located on the Lower Deck of SAFL.

  • Aquarium-grade glass walls
