The Minnesota Nano Center is one of several prominent stakeholders participating in the Minnesota Semiconductor Manufacturing Consortium, recently launched by the University's Technological Leadership Institute (TLI). It is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at upskilling Minnesota's technical workforce for careers in semiconductor manufacturing. Besides the Nano Center stakeholders include Honeywell, Raytheon Technologies' Collins Aerospace, and Polar Semiconductor. With a significant contribution from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), the consortium will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the semiconductor industry in the region.
The Minnesota Nano Center is led by ECE's Russell J. Penrose Professor in Nanotechnology Steven Koester.
