Kevin Mallery defends PhD: Computational Digital Inline Holography for In Situ Particle Tracking and Characterization

Ph.D candidate Kevin Mallery successfully defended his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering (ME) on May 27th, 2020. He is advised by Jiarong Hong of the St. Anthony Falls Laboratory and Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota. His committee includes Tianhong Cui (ME), Cari Dutcher (ME), and Nikolaos Papanikolopoulos (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering).

Kevin's research, titled "Computational Digital Inline Holography for In Situ Particle Tracking and Characterization," includes discussing technical improvements to digital holographic imaging techniques and how these improvements enable applications in fluid mechanics, microbiology, and robotics

Congratulations Dr. Mallery!
