Technology Leadership Essentials: A Quick Start, and a Lasting Impact

In February, TLI launched a new series of dynamic and customizable workshops, designed to provide talented tech professionals with a quick start in leadership – a start that will make a lasting impact on their careers. TLI’s Technological Leadership Essentials (TLE) workshops focus on the intersection between leadership and the technology industry, and provide the most talented employees in a company the skill set needed to lead teams, departments and divisions.
Meant to combine in-person and asynchronous training for a flexible learning experience, the TLE format offers the convenience of self-paced progress within a structured environment, ensuring participants gain valuable, industry-focused insights on their own terms.
Trainees walk away from the workshops learning how to think strategically about technology, rally teams behind a project, and communicate effectively across an organization.
Providing an early grounding in leadership fundamentals ensures a successful transition to management. TLE workshops have successfully trained tech company professionals in the fundamentals of leadership, as we chronicled in this story from last year. Those first TLE workshops were retreats based on the University of Minnesota campus. The revamped TLE workshops are more flexible, offering companies a wide array of options: in-person vs. asynchronous, on-campus or off, retreat-style or less formal training modules designed to fit seamlessly into the workday, with each day’s topics focusing on a different facet of technology leadership.
