My efforts are centered on undergraduate chemical engineering and materials science based laboratory classes and lab management, particularly chemical engineering unit operations and an introductory materials science lab for non-majors. Drawing on an industrial background in coatings helps inform the labs’ industrial relevance and students’ preparation for work in real-world applications. Research and teaching interests include the study and implementation of more effective/engaging teaching methods along with ways to better support our students and their experience.
