CEMS graduate students honored with Outstanding Teaching Assistant (TA) Awards

CEMS is proud to honor these graduate students (listed below) for their accomplishments as outstanding teaching assistants (TA) during the previous academic year (AY 2021-2022). Nominated by their course instructor and selected by the CEMS Directors of Graduate Studies, these honorees received a monetary award and were recognized at a recent department ceremony.
Fall 2021: Spencer Bingham, Gabriela Diaz Gorbea, and Benjamin Kaiser were nominated by Professor Mike Manno for MATS 3801: Structural Characterization Laboratory. Ilias Mitrai was nominated by Professor Alon McCormick and received his award for CHEN 4601: Process Control.
Spring 2022: Christian Grimme and John Keil were nominated by Professors Vivian Ferry and Lorraine Francis for MATS 4400: Senior Design Project. Saurabh Shenvi Usgaonkar was nominated by Professor Satish Kumar and received his award for CHEN 8101: Fluid Mechanics. Hanchu Wang was nominated by Professor Qi Zhang and received her award for CHEN 4501W: Chemical Engineering Design.
