SAFL's Regional Midwest Influence

The St. Anthony Falls Laboratory (SAFL) sits on the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis. Minnesota is an environmentally rich state that is home to almost 12,000 lakes, about 235,076 acres of native prairie land (Minnesota County Biological Survey, 2010), and over 6,500 natural rivers and streams. SAFL uses its strategic location to conduct environmentally important research and collaborate with local organizations. Click on the following link to read about some featured local SAFL research.
