Courtney Backstrom is highly motivated, methodical, and analytical with experience in medical device development, digital health solutions creation, and software and systems engineering. Currently, Courtney is a Senior Quality Systems Engineer at a series D, unicorn status startup. Courtney additionally teaches at the University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering - TLI department, where she combines medical foundations and hands-on simulation for engineers to better understand medical devices in a surgical environment. She previously held technical roles with Medtronic and Mayo Clinic in the clinical and R&D space.
