Minneapolis Rated as Top Ten City for Recent STEM Grads

If you're a recent STEM grad, where should you choose to live? In a recent ranking of 100 U.S. cities posted on the University Business site, the Twin Cities scored as a highly desirable destination, taking 8th place overall.

The survey used U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data to rank 100 metropolitan areas in three categories: "professional opportunities", "STEM-friendliness" and "quality of life". Seattle scored #1 in professional opportunities, Boston  #1 in STEM-friendliness and Dayton, Ohio #1 for quality of life.

Seattle, Austin, Boston, Atlanta and San Francisco were ranked as the top five cities overall.

The Minneapolis metro area ranked #8 in "professional opportunities", #24 in "STEM friendliness" and for "quality of life" came in at #18.

The five lowest-ranked cities in the survey were North Port, FL; Augusta, GA; Memphis, TN; Little Rock, AR and Cape Coral, FL.
