TLI's Patria Lawton Named to Annual "TCB 100" List

TLI is proud to announce that Dr. Patria Lawton, our Director of Graduate Studies and ST Fellow, has been selected by the editors of Twin Cities Business for inclusion on their annual "TCB 100" list.

Every year, Twin Cities Business compiles a list of the people in and around Minnesota business likely to make news and drive change in the year ahead. The "TCB 100" list for 2024 includes CEOs, founders, philanthropists, government officials and innovators from across the state in many industries.

It's a well-deserved honor for Dr. Lawton, who has an extensive background in higher education and executive level business communications. Pat has taught Communication Studies at the undergraduate level for over 15 years and teaches managerial communication, risk and crisis communication, and interpersonal and team effectiveness at TLI. She has also served as an advisor to numerous M.S. capstone projects at the institute.

Dr. Lawton also serves as the Business Director for the Defense Alliance, an SBA Advanced Technologies Cluster, which accelerates commercialization efforts for technology products and services. She is a previous co-awardee of the U.S. Small Business Association’s (SBA) Veterans Small Business Champion Award.

The names of all TCB 100 honorees were revealed at the Person of the Year and TCB 100 event Monday evening, Dec. 4, at the Metropolitan Ballroom in Golden Valley. Beth Wozniak, CEO and chair of nVent, was named the 2023 Person of the Year.

The complete list will be published in the December 2023 / January 2024 issue of Twin Cities Business, and available at tcbmag.com.

Please congratulate Dr. Lawton for this honor!
