Seth Nfonoyim-Hara is a Principal Engineer at Mayo Clinic in the Division of Engineering’s Biomechanical Development Unit, Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering and Neurosurgery, and the Manager of the Microfabrication Laboratory. His work centers on leveraging microfabrication techniques to tackle challenging problems and deliver innovative devices to improve patient care.
He has experience in the design, fabrication, and validation of medical microdevices across multiple sensor modalities and applications such as surface and intracortical neural recording, intracranial pressure monitoring, spinal cord stimulation, and neurochemical detection.
Seth earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Swarthmore College and completed his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering with the Biomedical Microsystems Laboratory at the University of Southern California.
