CEGE Three-Minute Thesis Contest
The Three-Minute Thesis competition (3MT) challenges Ph.D. students to communicate their research in just 180 seconds using language accessible to non-experts. The goals are to build communications skills, more widely share research, and give student researchers visibility.
Did you know?
The competition was prompted by a drought in Australia when citizens were asked to limit their showers to three minutes. Some creative mind said why not do that with a thesis?! The idea caught on and has spread to over 900 universities worldwide.
The winner progresses to the college-wide competition.
This year's competitors
