St. Anthony Falls Laboratory
Many faculty in CEGE conduct their research at the St. Anthony Falls Laboratory.
The St. Anthony Falls Laboratory (SAFL) is a unique research and teaching facility on the bank of the Mississippi River. Research at SAFL focuses on water resources engineering, hydromechanics, wind engineering, and geophysical fluid dynamics.
The lab is home to the National Center for Earth-Surface Dynamics (NCED), one of a handful of national science and technology centers funded by NSF. It is also home to the Eolos Wind Energy Research Station located in Dakota County.
