Give to CEGE
Supporting CEGE is a wonderful way to help the department continue its tradition of excellence. Gifts from alumni and friends provide much-needed additional support for students, research, faculty, and infrastructure.
Your gift can
- Make our program financially accessible to greater numbers of promising undergraduates
- Help us compete effectively for the best and brightest graduate students and faculty
- Provide our faculty and students with state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities
Whether you choose to give to the department’s flexible strategic initiatives fund, to a named fund, to create your own fund, or make a gift through your will/estate, your gift is an investment in inspired and innovative engineering for society.
CEGE endowed scholarship funds and new gifts from alumni and friends provide essential support to our undergraduate students.
As higher education costs keep rising, the need for scholarship support grows each year. Gifts to CEGE scholarships from alumni, friends, and industry partners help ensure that more top students from diverse walks of life can successfully become tomorrow’s civil, environmental, and geo- engineering experts and leaders.
The CEGE Internship Opportunity Program supports students as they conduct research directly with one of our faculty for a semester or summer.
This experiential learning boosts student success and prepares undergraduates for career by applying what students learned in the classroom to real world projects and challenges.
To compete for the best and brightest graduate students, CEGE relies on the generous philanthropic support of alumni, friends, and industry partners to fund graduate fellowships and awards.
Graduate fellowships allow CEGE to compete successfully with other institutions that can offer significant awards for students.
Faculty and Research
CEGE’s faculty and students are world leaders in research that tackles society’s grand challenges in infrastructure and transportation networks, water and the environment, renewable energy and earth resources, and innovative materials.
Gifts from alumni, friends, and industry partners to create new endowed chairs and professorships will help us recruit and support excellent faculty who are committed to the highest levels of teaching and research. You can help the department gain a competitive edge in recruiting and retaining faculty by establishing research funds, professorships, and chairs.
CEGE’s Strategic Initiatives Fund provides flexible support that allows the department to take advantage of emerging opportunities that can enhance the scope of learning and research in CEGE.
Other funds in this area provide support for laboratory, instructional or student spaces and provide funds for the exchange of ideas through visiting lectures.
