Apply to the Visiting Researcher Program

Please complete our online application form to apply to the visitor program. The form will ask you for the information listed below and it may be useful to have this information ready before beginning.

• Name and contact information
• Visiting research category
• Preferred dates for visit (first and second choices)
• Project title and summary
• A project proposal (uploaded through the form)
• Citations for any publications resulting from previous IRM visits
• Grant or Funding information
• Equipment request (estimate number of samples measurements required on each instrument. More information on instruments here.

Before completing the form below, please make sure that you have funding in hand to cover costs above $1000 (or $500 for US Student Fellows) and that for international applicants, you are in possession of (or can acquire) a valid visa for entry into the USA for the time period of your visit. Please note that US embassies in some countries have very long wait times for visa interviews and we would ask that you double check your nearest US embassies wait times on the US government travel webpage.
