Jack Zwettler

Jack is from Eden Prairie, MN. He plans to use the scholarship money to help in his research in the high-temperature superconductivity group at the University of Minnesota under Professor Martin Greven. This work includes sample characterization, nonlinear magnetic response measurements, and non-contact resistivity measurements, for example. The scholarship will also assist him in his thesis work next year.

Kiet transferred to the University of Minnesota from Houston, TX. He plans to use the scholarship to pay tuition and support his research. Kiet works for Professor Vuk Mandic, focusing on gravitational wave detection, identifying the transient noise features, and participating in searchers for stochastic gravitational-wave background using LIGO data.

Joseph Dill

Joseph is from Mendota Heights, MN. He intents to use the award to fund a research project with Professors Crowell and Pribiag, studying the properties of ferromagnetic-semiconductor interfaces to be applied to their research of quantum computing materials.
