As such, we are held to the standards of the University's Code of Conduct. The purpose of this webpage is to inform you of your options for sharing feedback or concerns with the School of Physics and Astronomy.
The University of Minnesota has specific resources and reporting channels available to you at an institutional level:
- For emergencies and concerns regarding public safety, please dial 911 or contact UMN Department of Public Safety.
- Equal Opportunity and Title IX Office: responds to concerns of discrimination, sexual misconduct, nepotism, and related retaliation.
- The Aurora Center provides confidential support services and programming for those impacted by sexual misconduct.
- For reports of bias or discrimination incidents on the Twin Cities campus, contact the Bias Response and Referral Network.
- For support with violations of the Student Conduct Code, contact the Office for Community Standards.
- For feedback about a PHYS or AST course you are currently enrolled in, please complete the Student Rating of Teaching (SRT) form at the end of the semester.
If you have general feedback or a specific concern with a School of Physics and Astronomy administrator, faculty, staff or student that you would like to report, you have options for letting us know:
Email or schedule an appointment with specific faculty or staff
Contact the School of Physics and Astronomy Climate and Diversity Committee
Stop by our front office in 130 Tate Hall to be directed to appropriate staff
Complete the School of Physics and Astronomy Feedback and Reporting Form and receive confirmation of receipt within 2 business days, and a plan with next steps within the next 10 business days. Please note that these follow-up communications are only possible if you choose to share your contact information in the form.
If you choose to make an anonymous report, we will make note of your feedback or concern, though we cannot take resolution steps with you or the subject of the report.
