In honor of Professor J. Morris Blair, an experimental nuclear physicist who was a Minnesota Ph.D. alum and a member of our faculty for more than forty years. This scholarship is awarded to undergraduate physics majors in the School of Physics and Astronomy during the spring semester of their junior year.

2022 Blair Scholarship Recipients
Hayden Binger: Hayden is originally from Spring Creek, Nevada. "I am working in Professor McLeod's lab on Nano-microscopy, and absolutely love it!" He plans to use the scholarship for tuition next year, so that he can put more time into academic research.
2021 Blair Scholarship Recipients
Daniel is from Savage, MN. He plans to put the scholarship towards tuition. His main interest is in high energy/particle physics.
2020 Blair Scholarship Recipients
Jason is from Nahr Ibrahim, Lebanon. He plans to use the scholarship to pay part of his tuition and living expenses. His primary interest is in Quantum Computing (theoretical), although he is also interested in Quantum Phenomena and is currently doing research in Quantum Optics.
