SAFL Office: ##
Erik joined SAFL’s Applied Engineering group in 2010 to support the automated data carriage program. Prior to working at SAFL, Erik split his time between Courage Center (now Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute), building assistive devices and customized medical equipment and his own company, producing interactive exhibits for museums.
Erik is a designer and project coordinator with SAFL’s Applied Engineering group. Much of his work revolves around the development of equipment and devices used for research at SAFL and, increasingly, laboratories outside of the University of Minnesota. Erik works closely with SAFL engineers, faculty, and researchers, to build hydraulic research equipment and data collection systems. He also acts as point of contact for external researchers, architects, engineering firms and other stakeholders.
