It's a Wrap! 45th "Aerosol and Particle Measurement" Short Course a Success

This week TLI coordinated the 45th offering of Dr. David Pui’s well-known short course in Aerosol and Particle Measurement. This was the first time that TLI ran campus logistics for the three-day course, and the responses on student surveys indicated that it was a hit once again.

The course, a partnership between the U's College of Science and Engineering and TSI Incorporated, was taught by nine internationally renowned experts in the field. 62 students from around the country learned about aerosol mechanics, filtration theory, optical measuring techniques, instrument calibration and more.

Classroom study was supplemented by hands-on lab work both in the Mechanical Engineering building at the University of Minnesota and at TSI’s labs in Shoreview. The students also managed to have a little fun while in town, with a specially arranged evening of dinner and drinks at Urban Growler.

Thanks to everyone at TLI who played a role in making the course a success!
