MSST Faculty Member, Intelligence Expert Reacts to Hijackings Among Nation-Sponsored Hacking Groups
In an article on a foreign nation-sponsored hacking group, security firm researchers are agreeing that the group Turla — which was behind breaches of the U.S. Department of Defense in 2008, as well as breaches in 10 other countries — has conducted a takeover of an attack platform from a competing hacking group known as OilRig. Among those security experts is TLI faculty member Jonathan Wrolstad, principal cyber intelligence analyst for Symantec's Managed Adversary and Threat Intelligence group.
