Casey Kraft graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2020 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
At CU Boulder, Casey conducted protein engineering research for three years in the Kaar Lab, culminating in a senior thesis involving the engineering of cellulases for increased tolerance to ionic liquids. At UC Berkeley as an Amgen Scholar, Casey also performed biomaterials research on increasing the bioactivity of hyaluronic acid hydrogels in the Kumar Lab. At UMN as a graduate student, Casey's research interests include tissue engineering and biomaterials with cardiovascular applications.
On the weekends, Casey enjoys playing soccer, practicing piano, hiking, and playing board games with friends.
