Highest University alumni honor awarded to Bruce KenKnight (PhD '97)

April 13, 2016 — BME alumnus Bruce KenKnight (PhD '97, advised by James E. Holte, PhD, and Raymond E. Ideker, MD, PhD) has been awarded the University's highest recognition for alumni, the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award.

Dr. KenKight has accumulated nearly 150 patents and 50 peer-reviewed publications related to innovative devices and therapies for cardiac rhythm management (CRM) and heart failure mitigation since his first industrial position starting in 1985 with GE Medical. His career has included leadership positions at Guidant, Boston Scientific-CRM, Valtech Cardio, Cyberonics, and presently LivaNova.

Dr. KenKnight will accept his award at a ceremony hosted by the College of Science & Engineering this fall.
