Julia (Quindlen) Hotek receives 2018 BME Best Dissertation Award

March 30, 2018 — Julia (Quindlen) Hotek (PhD' 17) has been awarded the Biomedical Engineering program's 2018 Best Dissertation Award. 

Her project, "Mechano-to-Neural Transduction of the Pacinian Corpuscle," was advised by Professor Victor Barocas. Since graduating in October 2017, Julia has been working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Spine Research Lab at the University of Pennsylvania.

Later this month the department will nominate Julia for the University-wide Best Dissertation Award in the Physical Sciences and Engineering division.
