Ash Kuhnley graduated in 2022 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Northridge.
Passionate about helping students, she was a peer mentor for over 15 students in different programs at CSUN that focused on supporting minority students in STEM to reach their academic goals. Ash worked with Dr. John Valdovinos on computationally modeling cardiac electrophysiology for biomagnetic mapping needed to create magnetocardiogram field sensors. She was also the team lead of a project that created the external coupling stage of a wireless power supply for a left ventricular assist device using resonant inductance. Ash’s focus is in cardiac electrophysiology where she looks forward to contributing to the field of implantable cardiac devices in the future.
Outside of academics, Ash has an adventurous 6-year-old keeping her on her toes, and loves camping, reading, and having game nights with friends and family
