Kyle Kunzmann joins as Graduate Program Coordinator

December 3, 2025 — The Department of Biomedical Engineering is excited to welcome Kyle Kunzmann as Graduate Program Coordinator.

Kunzmann started his professional career in housing and residential life, earning his Master of Arts in Higher Education during his five years in that role. He took a brief detour as a group fitness instructor before returning to the field of education as a College Academic Advisor within the College of Science & Engineering at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

He has spent the last six years working with undergraduate students as they navigated their first experiences at the University while picking up additional responsibilities along the way — directing the college's orientation program, co-chairing the New Advisor Group, teaching courses, and more. He is excited to bring his experiences to working with graduate students and faculty in the Department of Biomedical Engineering.

Outside of work, Kunzmann spends much of his time outdoors — cycling, hiking, camping, and gardening. He enjoys cooking and baking, travels to compete in national dodgeball tournaments, and really likes board games (the more complex, the better). He's also a big fan of live music and theater.

Kunzmann can be reached at [email protected].
