Brenda Ogle named BMES fellow

September 10, 2021 — BME Professor and Department Head Brenda Ogle has been named a 2021 Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) Fellow.

She was selected for her:

  • Achievements in 3D bioprinting for cardiac tissue engineering, yielding a chambered heart organoid.
  • Leadership and service to the BME field including diversity, equity, and inclusivity.

BMES Fellows are selected based on demonstrated impactful achievements and significant contributions within the biomedical engineering field as well as extensive leadership within the field, including service to the Society.
