Jon Moon named BMES fellow

Jon Moon, who served as a Department of Biomedical Engineering Industry Advisory Board member for more than a decade, has been named a 2023 BMES Fellow in recognition of his impactful contributions to the biomedical engineering community.

October 14, 2023 — Jon Moon, who served as a Department of Biomedical Engineering Industry Advisory Board member for more than a decade, has been named a 2023 Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) Fellow.

BMES Fellows are selected based on demonstrated impactful achievements and significant contributions within the biomedical engineering field as well as extensive leadership within the field, including service to the Society.

Dr. Moon was recognized for achievements in techniques to quantify human metabolism and energy balance, for momentary assessments and interventions in behavioral health, and advancing devices for life support.

He is the President and Owner of MEI Research, which creates technologies and provides services for research and clinical applications in obesity, energy balance, addiction and behavior management.
