New faculty member hired: Alex Opitz

March 30, 2017 — We are pleased to welcome a new faculty member to our department. Dr. Alex Opitz received his Diploma in Physics from the University of Tuebingen and his PhD in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Gottingen in 2014.

Prior to joining our department, he has been a Research Scientist at the Nathan Kline Institute in New York. His expertise and pioneering work is the development and validation of computational models of electrics fields in brains induced by non-invasive modulation (transcranial magnetic and electrical stimulation). Dr. Opitz will join our faculty in Summer 2017.
