Chemistry Represents at University on the Prairie

LAMBERTON, Minn. (07/29/2022)—After a 2 year pandemic break, University on the Prairie returned to the UMN Southwest Research and Outreach Center. This outreach program brings hands-on science to 7th-11th grade kids in rural parts of Greater Minnesota. The goal is to inspire them to pursue degrees in STEM related fields. Then return to fill job opportunities in rural areas in the state. This years program featured learning tracks in Health Science, Engineering, Food Science, Agriculture, and Chemistry. The Chemistry track was run by Prof. Aaron Massari, grad student Gabby Vandendries, and undergraduate Emma Maudal. This marks the 10 year anniversary of the Department of Chemistry being represented at this event!
