  • Deliberately Cultivating and Sustaining Radical Hope, May 3, 2023, 1:00-2:30 pm, Smith 100, Workshop led by Dr. Della Mosely with a focus on cultivating radical hope in the current sociopolitical climate.
  • More Wellness for All of Us, December 15, 2022, 1:00-2:30 pm, Zoom, Led by Dr. Della Mosley and Ti Malik Coleman from WELLS Healing Collective. Workshop focused on how UMN Chemistry community members can get closer to personal wellness via action toward equity.
  • Enhancing Wellbeing and Emotional Resilience, Mindfully, May 17, 2022, 1-2:30, Smith 100, Mariann Johnson from the Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing led a mindfulness meditation and practical tips for incorporating wellbeing and mindfulness into everyday lives.
  • Preventing Sexual Harassment and Misconduct, May 14, 2021, 12:00-1:30 pm, Smith 100, Led by Paul Ang, Prevention Program Coordinator for The Aurora Center. Presentation addressing definitions of behavior, discussion of reporting, and scenario-driven discussion.
  • Developing a Strategic Plan for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in our Department, October 23, 2020, 3:00-4:00 pm, Smith 100, Erin Carlson and Stacie LeSure gave a brief summary of recent departmental DEI activities and discussed plans to develop a strategic plan for the department.
  • Confronting Implicit (Unconscious) Bias, December 12, 2019, 12:00-1:30 pm, Smith 100, Introduction by David Blank, support from Stef Jarvi (Director of Education, Office for Equity and Diversity), included scripted and live-acted scenarios from Diversity and Inclusion Committee, one from the undergraduates.
  • Stress and Mental Health, May 8, 2019, 1:00 - 2:30 pm, Smith Hall 100, Led by Matt Hanson from Boynton Health and Phil Buhlmann. Four scenarios were developed and filmed by our Community of Chemistry Graduate Students (CCGS).
  • Bystander Intervention, December 13, 2018, 12:00 - 1:30 pm, Smith Hall 100, Interactive scenarios developed with us, Tina Marisam (Director of EOAA) and Illusion Theater Company, and acted out live with discussion that followed.
  • Conflict Competency: Moving from Avoidance to Opportunity, May 14, 2018, 2-3:30 pm, Smith Hall 100, Julie Showers, Associate Vice President for Equity and Diversity
  • Preventing Harassment, December 14, 2017, 2-3:30 pm, Smith Hall 100, Malik Mitchell and Paul Ang from the Aurora Center, included working through scenarios with live electronic anonymous questions.
