Department of Chemistry Research

The Department of Chemistry offers a dynamic palette of chemical foci that captures the essence of our interdisciplinary research efforts and addresses relevant chemical challenges in our society. Our researchers lead projects that often span two or more of these areas in order to discover novel solutions and cultivate a rigorous training environment. In preparation, our graduate students can take courses in chemistry, biochemistry, physics, mathematics, materials science, and/or chemical engineering, following a unified, flexible curriculum that is tailored to their interests and research needs.
