This critical renovation project will bring state-of-the-art chemistry teaching laboratories to campus in Fall 2025. Modernizing and revitalizing our teaching spaces will transform undergraduate chemistry education for more than 5,000 students each semester. As we look forward to the next chapter of teaching in this new space, we are excited to champion the next generation of discovery. This fund provides support for visiting lecturers in the Department of Chemistry whose background and experiences help to promote diversity and inclusion while highlighting and celebrating the broad fields of research within the chemistry discipline. This may include an honorarium for the speaker.

Paul G. and Gerda Ann Gassman Chemistry Graduate Student Travel Fund
This fund will provide awards to full-time graduate students in the Department of Chemistry. Recipients will be involved in research projects in the field of organic chemistry, in good academic standing in the program, with exceptional potential in their field. This award shall be used to cover the costs of the student recipient attending and presenting their research findings at a national conference.
