Casim Sarkar receives Morse-Alumni Undergraduate Teaching Award
March 11, 2021—BME Professor Casim Sarkar has been awarded the Horace T. Morse - University of Minnesota Alumni Association Award for Outstanding Contributions to Undergraduate Education. Sarkar, an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, is conferred the title "Distinguished University Teaching Professor."
Each year since 1965, the University of Minnesota has recognized a select group of teachers for their outstanding contributions to undergraduate education. This honor is awarded to exceptional candidates nominated by colleges in their quest to identify excellence in undergraduate education.
Being the recipient of the Morse-Alumni Undergraduate Teaching Award, Sarkar becomes a member of the Academy of Distinguished Teachers (ADT).
The award will be conferred at an award ceremony during the fall semester.
