Salomeh Rostami benefited from and now runs peer mentoring program

Salomeh Rostami (EnvE 2022) found her first year to be harder than she expected. Classes were rigorous, and a Big 10 university can be a daunting place. One of the things that got her through her freshman year was the peer mentor she found through CSE Ambassadors. The student group matches incoming freshmen students to upperclass student mentors  in similar majors who serve as guides during through that often-daunting first year at the University. Now, Rostami is on the CSE Ambassadors leadership team and co-runs the mentorship program.

Rostami was also able to do research with Professor Paige Novak, thanks to the Research Internship Opportunity Program scholarship she received from CEGE. Salomeh Rostami aims to pursue environmental justice and leadership.
