Graduate students receive poster session awards

Amy Ott, a fifth-year graduate student working with Professor Joseph Topczewski, received a poster session award at the Florida Heterocyclic Conference. Her poster, "Racemization of Azides for Dynamic Kinetic Resolution," discussed her work on utilizing azides for chiral amine synthesis.

Blair Troudt, a third-year graduate student working with Professor Philippe Buhlmann, received a Society of Electroanalytical Chemists poster session award at the Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy. Her poster, "Easy-To-Make Capillary-Based Reference Electrodes with Controlled, Pressure-Driven Electrolyte Flow," discussed the development of an improved reference electrode for electrochemical measurements.
