Professor Theresa Reineke appointed associate editor of Chemical Science
MINNEAPOLIS / ST. PAUL (06/01/2022)—Professor Theresa Reineke has been appointed as an associate editor for journal Chemical Science, effective May 1, 2022. Established in 2010, Chemical Science is the flagship journal for the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). The journal is diamond open access, with no costs for publishing or reading accepted articles.
Reineke, who joined the UMN Chemistry faculty in 2011, was previously a founding associate editor for the journal ACS Macro Letters for close to 11 years. She is currently on the Editorial Advisory Boards of the American Chemical Society (ACS) journals Biomacromolecules, Bioconjugate Chemistry, ACS Applied Polymer Materials, ACS Macro Letters, and the RSC journal Polymer Chemistry.
Reineke’s research group is focused on enabling fundamental chemical and applied technology advancements of polymers for sustainability, drug delivery, and gene/cell therapy and genome editing. In recognition of her group’s research, she has received a 2022 Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award, the 2018 DuPont Nutrition and Health Sciences Excellence Medal, and the 2017 Carl S. Marvel Creative Polymer Chemistry Award from the ACS POLY Division, among many others.
