Master’s Programs
Examination Committee
Form must be submitted at least one month prior to the final examination.
M.S. Full-time Status with One Credit Registration Application
Application to remain in full-time student status while taking a reduced courseload (xxxx 8333). Eligibility requirements:
- An approved master’s Degree Program Form is on file with the Graduate School.
- All coursework completed included on the Degree Program Form, with grades posted to the transcript prior to the term of application.
- If Plan A, 10 thesis credits (xxxx 8777) completed.
- If Plan B, completed all coursework and only the Plan B project is not graded.
M.S. Graduate Degree Plan
Outlines a student’s coursework plan to earn a degree. This form should be submitted after the second semester of work. It can be modified/changed using the Petition Form if needed.
The M.S. Plan C Tracking Form is required for all Plan C students to track their progress and completion of program requirements.

Ph.D. Degree Completion Procedures
Ph.D. Full-time Status with One Credit Registration
You must apply to remain in full-time student status while taking a reduced courseload (xxxx 8444). Eligibility requirements:
- Successfully completed the preliminary written examination.
- Successfully completed the preliminary oral examination.
- Have a signed examination form on file with the Graduate Student Services and Progress (GSSP) Office.
- Completed all coursework included on the Degree Program Form, with grades posted to the transcript.
- Completed for 24 doctoral thesis credits.
Ensure the appropriate student-group designation appears on the academic record (students can verify this with the accounting office).
Ph.D. Graduate Degree Plan
