Missing Page Titles

Note: You may need additional permissions to be able to make these changes. Coordinate with the site owner as needed to gain access.

Step 1: Check the Content Section

  1. In the admin toolbar, navigate to Manage > Structure > Block Layout.
  2. Scroll to the section labeled Content.
  3. Check if a Page title block is already listed in this section.
    • If the block already exists: Skip to Step 4.
    • If the block is missing: Continue to Step 2.

Step 2: Add and Configure the Page Title Block

  1. Click the Place block button located next to the Content section label.
  2. In the filter box, type page title.
  3. Find the entry where Category is listed as core, then click its corresponding Place block button.
  4. In the configuration window that appears, uncheck the Display title checkbox.
  5. Click Save block.

Step 3: Reorder and Save

  1. Locate the Page Title block at the bottom of the Content section list.
  2. Click and drag Page Title to the top of the Content section so it sits above Tabs.
  3. Scroll down and click Save blocks.
  4. Continue to Step 5

Step 4: Check Page Title block settings

  1. Locate the Page Title block in the Content section list.
  2. Click Configure button in the right column
  3. In the Pages tab, make sure that the content box is empty and no URLs are listed.
  4. In the Roles tab, make sure that nothing is checked
  5. In the Content Type tab, make sure that nothing is checked
  6. Click Save block
  7. Continue to Step 5

Step 5: Test the Website

  1. Open any page on the website and check if the title now appears at the top.
