College-wide tagging system and News Archive

A new tagging system has been introduced by the College’s Marketing and Communications team to support cross-departmental content discovery. Tags can be applied based on news topic and funding source, helping a range of audiences more easily locate relevant articles.

Users can filter articles with these new tags on the News Archive page. All published News and Feature Stories from our 50+ departments are now accessible in one central location.

Benefits include:

  • Internal reporting: Easily filter and review content based on department, topic, or funding source.
  • Research collaboration: Researchers can identify related work across departments.
  • Funding agencies: Tags provide visibility into the outcomes supported by specific contributions.
  • Public audiences: Visitors can explore topics of interest without needing to navigate by department or unit.

Note: This new tagging system is an addition to your department-specific categories. Those will remain intact and unaffected and are used for the More About listing on the news page. No content is being replaced or lost. We also suggest you go back at least a year or two to add tags to your previous news stories so more stories will be discoverable when we launch the new News Archive listing.
