ABSTRACT
Matthew Christensen will discuss the replacement of the Dale Street bridge over I-94 in St. Paul. The project became an opportunity to reestablish neighborhood and community connections and to honor the legacy of the Rondo Street neighborhood displaced by the I-94 freeway construction more than 60 years ago. Specific topics will include the project team’s unique approach to community engagement and collaboration with community members, artists, and local businesses.
