We believe in fostering an inclusive, connected community. We host several all-department social events per year (bowling! ice cream! pie contests! holiday parties!) for students, faculty, and staff to engage and build relationships. Our students host and participate in a variety of student groups that celebrate culture, identity, and shared scientific interests. Faculty and staff collaborate on the Mathematics Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee to make intentional change in the department's cultural climate. Through all of these efforts, we aim to make the School of Mathematics a safe and supportive environment for all.
