Tenure/Tenure-Track Faculty

The School of Mathematics in the University of Minnesota invites applications for multiple open TENURE-TRACK or TENURED faculty positions starting Fall semester 2025. Mathematics Lecturer

The University of Minnesota's School of Mathematics seeks to hire multiple positions at the lecturer level for the coming academic year. The position begins in Fall 2025 and emphasizes teaching, educational development and associated scholarly activities. Lecturers teach three courses per semester, or its equivalent through alternate service roles. We seek applicants holding a PhD in the mathematical sciences who are looking for a career focused on the educational and pedagogical aspects of the academic mission. Initial appointments are for one year, with annual renewals contingent on satisfactory performance. The department’s expectation is for successful candidates to have the opportunity for a long-term career in our community. Dunham Jackson (DJ) Postdoctoral Associate

The Dunham-Jackson Postdoctoral Associate is a three-year appointment in the School of Mathematics at the University of Minnesota that will begin in the Fall semester 2025. We seek candidates with demonstrated excellence in research and teaching. Preference will be given to applicants whose research interests are compatible with faculty in the department. The position has a teaching load of three one-semester courses per academic year.Salary is competitive. Data-enabled Model Order Reduction for 2D Quantum Materials, Postdoctoral Associate

A postdoctoral position under the direction of Professor Mitchell Luskin is available at the University of Minnesota to participate in the development of analytical and machine-learning methods to model the mechanical and electronic properties of 2D materials.  This position is supported by the NSF and NSERC and involves collaboration with mathematicians, materials scientists, and physicists at UBC, Stanford, Michigan, and LSU. We seek a candidate with a strong background in any of partial differential equations, mathematical physics, numerical analysis, physics-informed machine learning, and scientific computation, although all strong candidates with an interest in this project will be seriously considered.
